In April, the Palestinian Football Association reported that 565 Palestinian football players, coaches and referees had been killed by Israel in Gaza. This is a disturbing idea, only serving the purpose of framing the two as equal to downplay Israel’s crimes

🚨🚨🚨 MUTUAL AID GROUPS IN GAZA ARE SOUNDING THE ALARMS 🚨🚨🚨
Please help urgently: https://t.co/6l9JFjWInX
Not only are mutual aid groups forced to provide less aid due to lack of funds but also international organizations with millions in funding have significantly decreased aid for Palestinians in Gaza. This is disastrous and is going to lead to further deaths and severe cases of malnourishment.
500,000 daily meals to Gazans were stopped and 256 areas stopped getting water. All this happened over the last few weeks, and no substitutes have been provided. Palestinians in Gaza are left struggling for survival.
The Sameer Project had to reduce food production by 50% and will stop doing some medical days. If donations don’t pick up, we will also have to reduce our water distributions, which we really don’t want to stop during the hot summer!

Wheelchairs are a scarce and expensive necessity rather than a basic form of mobility. Supplies remain limited, and many of the units that are available are used, refurbished, and still cost close to $1,000 - far beyond the reach of all families already struggling to survive. Help now: https://t.co/LLwKJegeB1
At the same time, Gaza now holds one of the highest concentrations of amputees in the world, with people trying to move through overcrowded camps, dirt paths, and rubble with little to no mobility support. Daily life becomes a constant negotiation between pain, dependence, and risk, where even the simplest movement can feel impossible.
During The Sameer Project’s Medical Committee’s assessment of
Jinan Camp 3 in Khan Younis, they met Heba, a 22 years old who has a below-the-knee amputation of her left leg. She requires a wheelchair, as well as a night light for safe use when going to the bathroom during the night.
But Heba’s situation reflects a wider reality across the camps, where mobility is not just a medical need but a daily barrier to dignity and survival.
We’ll be honest…can we find and afford a wheelchair for Heba right now - we are not sure. We will look for one, and with your help hopefully we can buy it, but one wheelchair is a drop in the bucket compared to the need. And for that we need the world to demand rights, dignity, and freedom of movement for those who have been maimed by the occupation.

It's 78th anniversary of the Nakba, which refers to the exodus of about 750,000 Palestinians from their homes for the creation of Israel. This ethnic cleansing of Palestinians has continued for 78 years now. So, please continue to boycott, donate, and stay informed for Palestine.
78 years of ongoing Nakba.
78 years of erasure.
Against all odds, we remain on our land and the land of our ancestors.
Return is our right.
Freedom is our destiny.
On May 15, join the Palestinian people in commemorating the Nakba.

This Mother’s Day, remember the Sudanese mothers and their daughters, who are victims of sexual violence that’s being used as a weapon in war. They deserve safety and justice
Happy Mother’s Day to mothers in Palestine, Sudan, Congo, Lebanon, Ukraine, Syria and everywhere else, who struggle every single day to keep their children as safe as possible and to hold onto hope despite impossible circumstances ❤️🩹
Every baby born in Gaza during this genocide entered the world under impossible circumstances. Their mothers carried them through airstrikes, displacement, hunger, fear, and uncertainty. https://t.co/1j2S3Rp86s Imagine feeling your child move inside you while bombs fell nearby, while food and clean water were scarce, while wondering what kind of Gaza your baby would be born into.
And still, mothers chose life. They refused to let the occupation steal even more from them - the chance to become mothers, to hold their newborns, to celebrate joy and resilience in the middle of devastation. In Gaza, even bringing a child into the world becomes an act of resistance.
The Sameer Project supported some of these mothers and infants with the basics needed for survival at Al-Amer Camp in Al-Zawaidah on May 4. We distributed infant formula, diapers, and children’s clothing to families trying to care for babies in conditions no child should ever endure.
We gave out 32 tins of infant milk, 15 packs of diapers, and 22 pieces of children’s clothing. The total cost was $635 after 11% banking commission.

The BDS movement calls on all trade unions, student organisations and wider civil society organisations, across Ireland, Scotland, England and Wales, to take action on Thursday, 14 May.
