Last week, I toured the @alcdsb tech hub in Belleville. The Curiosity Creates Change grade 7 & 8 intermediate program is available to all their students in #BayofQuinte. It provides students access to inquiry-based learning in Science, Technology, Engineering and Math.

Mrs. Kovach and Mrs. Landry's class had a blast at The Safety Village yesterday. They practiced road safety, what to say to a 911 operator and how to obey traffic lights and signs.
Children are at higher risk for burns because their skin is thinner than adult’s skin. Prevent burns and scalds by keeping hot items away from a child's reach, make sure children are not near hot stoves, fireplaces, heaters, etc. and keep matches & lighters in a locked cabinet.

The world is not always a friendly place. It is a sobering topic but the more we all know, the better, especially in the Belleville/Quinte area. See below.
While golfing last June, Paul Scott saw friend Colin MacKay show signs of stroke. He halted the game and called 9-1-1 for timely care. Today, I recognized Paul for his efforts & caught up with Colin on his recovery. Follow Paul's example and, as @HeartandStroke advises, act FAST.
The drive-through building is looking much better these days thanks to our friends at Eastern Doors and Windows for finding us a new door, and our friends at @QuintePaint for some paint to brighten things up -- on all our buildings. We really do have the best friends!
