@PatThePM If you don't manage your time, everyone else will. It's one of the hard lessons to learn as a PM. All meetings are not equal. If you're not bringing or taking value, do something more impactful. Stakeholders love meetings, we need to love impact.
Stakeholder: "Hey do you have 5 mins?"
Junior PM: "Sure! Let's hop on a call and I'll take notes!"
Experienced PM: "It depends, what do you need? Let's keep it async first. We can do a call later if necessary."
@saeedwkhan@sjohnson717@johncutlefish@RichMironov@ttorres@lissijean@triciacervenan The same metrics that any product team would use -- focused on value and outcomes that the platform is driving, not just features and outputs of the team. A platform *is* a product, even if it's just an internal platform. Should be managed like one.
@ArloSmartHome Finally found an actual phone number for their support -- the solution? "Place a full-price order and we'll credit you back 50% within 24 hours." Lots of trust being asked for there...and bold after "eating" my original discount code.
@ArloSmartHome : Your storefront "ate" my EOL discount code (stuck at "processing order") and now I can't use it. Interesting tactic to force people to pay full price. #customerdisservice#CustomerService
@Mont_Jiang @NamelessWander4 Did we watch the same film? Because in the Iron Man I watched, after seeing first-hand the horror of his military inventions, the hero shuts down that part of the business and the villain wants to take him out of the picture because of it...
@onejasonknight@CordtMinzer When I was actively blogging, my newsletter was more an excuse to poke people that I was still around and had new content for them to read. That plus my book suggestions ramped up my subs pretty solidly. It was a project of love, so this negging approach would fall flat.
@ttorres That's the theory...all too often the practice is, "Here's the roadmap, which we've set in stone. Just FYI." Collaboration is the key to success, which means soliciting *and* incorporating feedback on our plans.
