This isn't an argument on if the sun appears to shrink in angular size or not.

This is about what causes the sun to appear to drop over distance and eventually sink into the horizon.

As my demo and the original one I linked shows, perspective and distance are factors in why the sun appears to drop as it travels further away from you, or rise as it approaches you.
