Today concludes Liza Week. Our sessions at Our Lady of Perpetual Help C.A. and St. Nicholas of Tolentine C.A. highlighted antisemitism and "The Assignment." One student asked Liza, "Who reported it was completed?" She replied, "It takes just one person to be an upstander."
Liza Week: a conversation highlighted the issue of antisemitism and the role of being an upstander. A St. Brigid student remarked on the normalization of hurtful words in society.
Day two highlight of Liza Week! Each presentation shares a common message: you have the power to treat others with kindness and respect and be the change the world needs. This message for students at St. Bartholomew C.A. and St. Leo C.A. will be unforgettable.
Happy Liza Week! This week, our CTN team welcomed author Liza Wiemer, who spoke at 8 schools in our diocese. Liza, author of The Assignment, emphasizes the importance of being an UPSTANDER: the change starts with you.
Thank you to the ADL for making this possible.
