Researchers mathematically proved that AI will cause something worse than mass unemployment.
It’s called “The Tragedy of the Cognitive Commons."
For the last three years, everyone has obsessed over a single question: Will AI steal our jobs?
That’s the wrong question.
A breakthrough research paper just exposed a much darker reality.
The real danger is that AI will quietly destroy the human capacity to do anything well.
Here is how the it works.
Every industry relies on what researchers call the "Cognitive Commons”, a shared pool of deep professional expertise that regenerates itself generation after generation.
How is that expertise built?
Through friction. Through doing the boring, difficult, junior-level work. Through manual trial and error.
That is how you build "Internalized Mastery."
When companies adopt AI to automate entry-level work, the logic looks airtight on a quarterly balance sheet. Cut costs. Speed up output. Skip the grunt work.
Every individual company is making a rational choice. But collectively, they are draining the pool dry.
When you eliminate junior roles, you destroy the pipeline that creates senior experts.
The researchers call the result the Validation Tether.
Effective human oversight of AI depends entirely on deep domain expertise.
As professionals increasingly delegate thinking to machines, they lose the mastery required to spot when the AI is wrong.
The experts validating AI outputs today look competent.
The terrifying question is: Who comes after them?
When the current generation of veterans retires, who will be left with the skills to audit the systems running our economy?
Nobody.
We are trading our long-term intellectual independence for short-term productivity boosts.
Every time you let AI bypass the struggle, you are borrowing expertise from the future.
And the interest rate is your profession's ability to think for itself.
This is what all those 'Data Centers' are being used for.
To track your every movement and everything you do and say.
And if they don't like you, they will cancel you, shutdown your bank accounts, imprison you.
Or just kill you.
AI can get you like 70% of the way towards technically competent art with no other training, so as never before we can experience the idiotic fantasies of small-souled people thoughtlessly regurgitating cultural hog feed, and affirm that art actually does require a vision
funfact walt was so demanding during the making of this movie in order to make it look like a moving illuminated manuscript that at the time, this was the most expensive disney movie ever made
and it ultimately almost made disney to go bankrupt
A developer noticed his Bluetooth headphones stopped switching to his phone while browsing AliExpress.
AliExpress was running two hidden audio scripts in the background. heavily obfuscated. they generated a silent waveform a sound set to zero volume and routed it through your computer's actual audio system.
that's why his headphones stayed locked to the PC. as far as the Bluetooth connection was concerned, the computer was actively playing audio switching to his phone would interrupt it.
Every CPU and audio chip processes the same waveform slightly differently. tiny mathematical variations.
AliExpress was measuring those variations to build a unique fingerprint of your device combined with your screen dimensions, WebGL data, canvas rendering, and network information all collected simultaneously It creates a profile specific enough to identify and track you across sessions even if you clear cookies, use private browsing, or change your IP.
Alibaba hasn't commented. their scripts is inside AWSC their anti-abuse and security infrastructure. some researchers suggest this may be anti-bot or fraud detection, not pure tracking. the code is too obfuscated to prove intent from the outside.
but the effect is the same regardless of intent
the discovery only happened because a side effect broke something the developer could see.
how many sites are doing this without the Bluetooth glitch to give them away.
WHEN YOU REALIZE THE BABY BOOM WASN'T JUST SOLDIERS COMING HOME HORNY.
It was soldiers coming home to the GI Bill free college, 0% down home loans, low-interest business loans.
It was strong unions. Pensions. A house that cost 2 years of salary.
It was confidence that the future was actually going to be better than the present.
That's what produced a baby boom. Not romance. Security.
You want a higher birth rate now?
Give people a future where they know their kids will actually be okay.
That's the whole formula. It's not complicated. It's just expensive, and nobody in charge wants to pay for it twice.
Hoje eu me senti muito representada pela Renata Said. Ela estava apenas contando um fato, algo que realmente acontece, mas o cara se sentiu extremamente ofendido como se ela estivesse falando mal dele.
Igualzinho acontece por aqui. kkkk
