Time to let the cat out of the bag: for the past four weeks, @paul_rony and I have been building a new product as a part of a16z @speedrun 007. It’s called Cube Computer, and it’s a zero-setup cloud computer for running terminal-based coding agents. We started noticing that more and more devs are spinning up cloud VMs to run Claude Code for complex, multi-hours tasks because they can’t afford to let their agents stop when the laptop is closed. But manually provisioning a VM and SSHing into it is the opposite of delightful. We think more devs could be building more awesome things if using cloud dev machines were easy and joyful—so we built Cube. If you love terminal coding agents, and want to run them on a full machine, but don’t want them to stop when you leave wifi: Cube Computer is for you.
