The FBI raided and arrested 7 pro-Palestine activists this morning for their involvement in student organizing at UMich. They are still targeting the student movement. Please spread the word about this. Donate to the legal fund in this thread
i want people to hear themselves. i want them to sit with the horror of the sentence they keep circling without saying. yes, the village was destroyed. yes, people were killed. but someone got a pathway into the middle class. say it directly. hear how monstrous it sounds.
AID A PALESTINIAN FATHER‼️
Every SATURDAY we send $ to Gaza to help multiple families, but we haven't made the goal in THREE weeks. Every $5 helps! Small acts can move mountains.

This is l related to the economic benefits of imperialism they treat as owed to them, wherein “x money can be spent at home” with no insight into how the money is gotten —outside of boiling everything down to “my tax dollars,” as their govt + corporations thief & exploit abroad.
@yearninquilab@syjvicious it's concerning that people are taking scootercaster's description at face value, i thought it was well known that she's right wing
hey do leftists on here not know that
scootercaster leans far right? and that you should not take her framing/captions about what's happening in her footage at face value?
nonviolence, in its most effective form, has historically relied on violence anyway. it relied on the escalating violence of the enemies of the movement deploying it. such a move is sometimes *tactically* astute, but rarely *strategically,* and certainly not *axiomatically*
“Fearing for the unborn baby, Gyasi said she would rather be deported than not have enough food. She was provided food once she signed a deportation order, the lawyers say.”
very funny how the left has so much historical concepts — like “racial liberalism,” “neoliberal multiculturalism” — to describe the elite liberal capture of the grammar of social and political struggles. and everyone has just… adopted the right’s framing of the phenomenon lol
Ultimately the liberal dem soc approach to politics (personality performance) is dangerous bc it prevents ppl from developing a strong political consciousness and an understanding of governance mechanisms, & lowers the ability to distinguish b/wn revolution & accommodationism.
When liberal dem soc leaders exaggerate policy reforms, it demobilizes people, lowers political expectations, and substitutes symbolism & emotional satisfaction for material transformation and structural changes. That’s why their very political style & approach are dangerous.
Just insane gaslighting: this is neoliberal destruction of publicly-funded housing. Who needs Republicans to shred the safety net when socialists will do it for them?
@ceaweaver But that’s the job of socialists in office: to do the heavy political lift of fighting for funds to fix NYCHA. Even if it means a long-term battle for hearts and minds—and with Hochul, the NYPD, etc. The city & state must step in. Once NYCHA is privatized, there’s no going back.
