The Rubik's Cube is a bad toy! Sorry, but it's true!

Either you don't know an algorithm, and shuffle around aimlessly, or you do know an algorithm, and you can do it quite quickly!

Toys should present moderate challenges, and the Rubik's Cube fails in this!

I like how the three-fold symmetry in the cube translates to the two-fold symmetry along the 45° diagonal in the curly embedding. I've marked the corresponding crossings in these copies.

I made this knot on my 9cube today and then got curious about its structure. I found this other embedding of it that I think is just lovely.
