I’m a high-value man, and my time is money. The other night, I was set to meet a sheila for a drink. To kill time, I decided to link with some masculine guys at a private club to pregame. One thing led to another, and before you knew it, I was running a bit behind.

Once I managed to tear myself away from the bonds of male friendship, I opened up my phone to call an Uber. Unfortunately, there weren’t many Uber Blacks in the area, and the estimated wait time was 20 minutes. I was tempted to call a standard Uber, which only had a wait time of 2 minutes, but decided to press on and wait it out. Thank goodness I did, too. Sliding into the back seat of a Mercedes GLE 350 after a wild afternoon with the boys just hits different.

We encountered a bit of traffic on the way across town, but I wasn’t bothered. The car was comfortable, and “Born Free” by Kid Rock rang in my ears. I stepped out of the car and saw the sheila I was meeting. She was a fetching figure but wearing an unwelcoming expression and tapping her foot impatiently.

“You’re late. They gave our table away 20 minutes ago. We’ll have to go somewhere else,” she said in an irritated tone. “Calm down. I was with the boys. You survived, didn’t you?” I replied, unamused.

“Oh,” she said, standing up straight, “you’d rather spend time with your male friends than me, huh? Regardless, we have to go somewhere else, because you were late. Where would you like to go?”

I stopped dead in my tracks and told her, “I’d like you to leave.” She was shocked. “An alpha male is never late. He arrives exactly when he wants to. I’m going on without you tonight.” She was speechless. This was the first time she was receiving correction from an alpha male, and it showed.

Being the gentleman I am, I called her an Uber Pool and watched her roll away before heading back to the hostess stand. When the girl locked eyes with me she was awestruck. “Hello miss, I’ve run into a bit of a problem. I had a reservation for two about half an hour ago that I missed,” I said, with a smile and a twinkle in my eye, “how about we turn that into a reservation for four for right now?”

Moments later, I was at a table, surrounded by 3 other masculine guys, domestic beer in hand. My night had taken a turn for the better, and someone’s future wife learned a valuable life lesson. Everybody wins when an alpha male gets his way.
