it's interesting how questioning religion is often seen as disrespectful, but questioning a queer person's identity is treated as perfectly acceptable. why is one person's deeply held belief untouchable, but another person's lived experience is always up for debate? tragic.
when the world cup was in qatar the host country asked to respect homophobia bc it was “their culture” but now the world cup is hosted in three countries that have same sex marriage i’m not seeing the “respect the host country culture”
