⚡️ “Curb Corn International: Brooklyn”
Curb Corn: Curb Hunger!
Aug 2020, Curb Corn appeared in Sioux Falls, a champion for post-Derecho food aid.
Sept 2020: food banks in #NYC faced their darkest hour, Curb Corn appeared in Brooklyn, with a mission.

This is just the best idea!
If you grew food, and you have food, share food.
The Little Free Produce Stand reminds us that help can be right around the corner.
Wait, did I say CORN-ER?

CURB CORN LIVES!
For now.
Wakko the Vitagraph @CurbCorn survived being cut down.
They survived a visit from the "Corn Specialist"
No roots yet, but they haven't given up the spark of life entirely.
Our Mission:
Find curb corn.
Find Hope.
Fund food.

Wakko the Vitagraph @CurbCorn was resting in their glass, waiting for the days to pass, and roots to grow.
Our "corn specialist" snuck into a "corn specialist free" room and "diagnosed" the recovering stalk.
Recovery less likely.

THANK YOU PHILLIP!

It's true.
Like the Ave.H Curb Corn Five of the Yom Kippur Mulching, or @57thC cut down in a brutal act of gardening:
Wakko is no longer "planted" on our planet.

This could well be the end of Wakko, the @CurbCorn planted by the @warnerbros!
OK, so they were planted "Right By The Warner Brothers Vitagraph Studo" and that's only SORT OF the same thing.
Wakko helped us raise over $1600 for food security in NYC!
Root for Wakko!

CURB CORN DOWN!!!
Wakko, the Vitagraph @CurbCorn was cut clean at their base.
I must have gotten there just after it happened, they still seemed healthy-ish.
Wakko was the first "sweet" corn we found.

#SaveWAKKO!
Wakko the Vitagraph @CurbCorn is alive and well!
A little tattered on their southern facing leaves, and no sign of an ear yet.
They were almost knocked over by a large bundle of amazon boxes, but survived it with little sign of injury.

Elijah brought Wakko a copy of the @NYDailyNews yesterday, with six possible Mayoral candidates on the cover.
Somehow, it feels like there's a face missing from the crowd.
Someone who could unite the city.

On yesterday's visit to Wakko, the Vitagraph @CurbCorn, you can see the old smokestack in the background.
Developed by the American Vitagraph Company, the studio was a competitor to Edison's film studios.
Eventually it was bought by @wbpictures.

Photo for scale & perspective.
The Curb Relish @CurbCorn site is just cracks in the concrete, out in the open.
Hard to tell if it's MTA or NYC land.
Someone put this here on purpose, and camouflaged it too.
Urban guerrilla gardening at its finest, someone's eating this stuff.
Elijah dropped by the Vitagraph site to visit Wakko again today.
A few dings, and some spots - but no bugs!
If you've found Curb Corn - or any suspected curb produce in your neighborhood, let us know.
What are the "rules?"

Daily @CurbCorn expeditions still in progress.
Two sites now confirmed to be farm "sweet" corn, including Wakko here at the Vitagraph site, more suspected.
A huge "corn field" of Sorghum has been spotted near a playground.
Find "Curb Corn," find hope.

Curb Relish (@curbcorn) continues to amaze.
Someone's gardening here, out in the open, on an avenue in Brooklyn, in a crack in the sidewalk.
The crossroads of an industrial block, a rec center, a residential area & a high school.
The ripe tomatoes & onions keep disappearing.
@MsLatina We're still finding corn & sorghum & produce in Brooklyn.
There's time left in the year to find "Curb Corn" in your Borough (Boro, Burro?) & get a fundraiser going!
Find "Corn."
