The train goes from Shiz—a prestigious university for the elite—to the Emerald City. Dorothy landed in Munchkinland—a rural farm village. Bullet trains from rural small towns don’t get built

@anthro_andrew Personally, I think we could solve a lot of misunderstandings like this by requiring middle and high school science class students to read peer reviewed literature. I didn’t understand the difference between scholarly articles and popular science articles until I got to college
