@teresajusino @RJGordon101 @magsrdoherty Many people value knowledge, but that doesn’t necessarily mean it’s culturally valued. Those who value knowledge do so — to varying degrees — outside of mainstream culture. You could even say it’s subversive or counter-cultural to value knowledge.
@delmaclifton The thought of living a normal life without privilege and power terrifies them. They identify with their status and have no idea who or what they are without it — and yet they crap on about the left being obsessed with identity politics 🙄
@pattyalbuque @AquafabaMcGee Exactly — most vegans started out as non-vegans.

Hateful attitudes only bolster a reactionary anti-vegan movement, which sucks for the animals.
@dutchieuk13@AzieDee I know 4 and 5 year olds who talk like this. They are little sponges who spontaneously regurgitate everything they hear.
Why insist someone is lying when you have absolutely no way of knowing that?
Comments like yours only contribute to the clicks and clout, by the way.
@JimTurnerjedi @Trin20k @MelindaMann01 “Oh no, not the bare minimum necessary to start moving towards racial equality! Oh noooo.” Shut the fuck up, David A.
@KegHead_1984 @N_u_l_l________@tuvya68@AzieDee Good. No one fucking wants to read the dumb shit you’re grasping onto in a futile attempt to feel superior. Just let go, you’ll feel better.

My understanding is that trauma increases stress and, therefore, task avoidance — especially when certain tasks are triggering or related to the trauma.
