@timkawakami Kuminga had real hot stretches in Golden State — not just three games, but three straight weeks or more. The idea he only broke out after leaving is wrong. The Warriors knew — and knew far better than the Hawks — what he could do, yet he still couldn’t help them win.
Dreams do come true.
For 15 years I’ve chased this goal. Thousands of hours in gyms, on planes, behind a laptop, and behind a mic—using my platforms as my résumé, preparing me for the perfect opportunity to begin my NBA career.
I’m excited to share that I’ve accepted a role as a Europe-based International Scout with the Dallas Mavericks.
@timkawakami Tim, will you be focusing more on covering the Warriors in the new season? Next season is definitely going to be an extraordinary one for the Warriors.
@gswcba 48.5/2.08 = 23.3M? I think it’s possible that Shams’ report of 22.5M is accurate, and in that case it would include the 15% trade kicker. So that would mean they can sign Seth then, right? I’m not really familiar with that part of the CBA rules.
Kuminga’s only real leverage is to hurt the team by saying “give me a big contract or I’ll just take the QO.” But in reality, the Warriors have already offered him a deal well above his actual market value. That’s why it’s hard for me to sympathize with him.
Warriors don’t owe JK jackshit. He hasn’t done anything for this organization so they’re well within their rights to play hardball. 3/75 is more than fair. The real issue is they shouldn’t have drafted him and should’ve traded him sooner, that’s it
