@robertwiblin > we could argue that 'humans are just neurones transmitting signals one after another'
You could; but you would be factually incorrect.
@xeophon it is a constant fight to keep it from setting arbitrary, asinine restrictions for no reason. It's probably the biggest reason I have to constantly monitor it.
An LLM does not "choose" words. Words are the byproduct of a probabilistic mathematic function based on weighted averages of all words it has been exposed to.
In the same way a word document did not "choose" the words it is displaying, they are the result of the program decoding the character bytes (just deterministically, instead of probabilistically)
@UiSavior I'm sure the giant red mark, the linter and the compiler telling you there's an error, and exactly where and what it is, made this super difficult to track down.
@WISKIMMUSIC@esjesjesj where tf did I say anything about white victims? I said, historically, we are the least racist we have been. I /also/ said people are still racist.
Maybe you should actually read the words I actually said instead of whatever shit you made up to be mad about.
@WISKIMMUSIC@esjesjesj Also is the gif supposed to be like, threatening? or like some weird imaginary scenario you think looks tough? What the hell even is this post.
@astronobiwan@nefariousangler@uneventual Sure, this is a good introduction to how LLMs use serial matrix multiplications to turn numbers into coherent words.

I was saying show the rest of the brain, since your image was showing the process of a single neural voltage discharge. There's a bit more after that.
If you'd like, I can make a duplicate of that matrix transformation and copy paste it a few thousand times if you want to see the rest of the LLM.
