What’s my biggest takeaway from working in insurance for 12 years now?

I’ve come to realize that insurance companies are just really good bookies.

Think about it!

They place a bet that the client won’t claim - and the insured takes the other side of that bet.

I’m curious why none of them have gotten into the sports betting industry - they’d be so good at it.

@danielfoch It’s next to impossible for a Crown Corp to restructure - its essentially the equivalent to any other federal agency. Canada Post needs to die and be replaced. It’s too far gone at this point.

Canada Post workers asking for huge pay raises - from a corporation that loses 100’s of millions $ per year.

Canada post is not even close to making a profit. It’s been like this for years.

Upper management needs to be restructured and held accountable for mismanagement.

This service interruption is just going to hurt them further, businesses will switch to alternative mail providers - and won’t be coming back.
