30 Years Ago Today🏅

It’s hard to believe that it’s been three decades since I stood on that podium, proudly winning the Gold Medal against Abbas Jadidi. Coming from humble I grew up a laborer’s son from Dormont Pittsburgh, I never imagined my dreams would ever come true.

This journey has taught me that discipline beats excuses every time. All you need is a dream, and anything is possible. I didn’t just represent my hometown and my college, I proudly wore the colors of the United States of America on my heart, driven by blood, sweat, tears, and even a broken neck.

Looking back, if I had the chance to do it all over again, my answer would always be a resounding LET’S GO!

✅ Researchers there were sick with COVID-like symptoms in fall 2019, before the first wet-market cases
✅ If natural origin evidence existed, it would have surfaced by now. It hasn't
✅ "Proximal Origin," the paper used to kill the lab-leak theory, was prompted by Fauci to push natural origin
✅ EcoHealth used US tax dollars to fund gain-of-function in Wuhan, then doctored documents and lied to Congress
✅ The "6 feet apart" rule "sort of just appeared" (Fauci's words). Never based on science

This should trigger a parliamentary investigation. But as intended, you're watching the stagecraft/theater called "Elbows Up".

Canada's constitutional framework is clear: Parliament, not Cabinet, controls the public purse.

Responsible government depends on Parliament having the information required to scrutinize spending, assess liabilities and risk, and hold ministers/government to account.

If the Liberals are announcing tens of billions in new commitments while refusing to provide a transparent fiscal framework showing where the money comes from -what has been reallocated, what has been borrowed, and what liabilities have been created, Parliament can't perform its constitutional function.

Then add on the Trudeau-Carney consistent pattern of sidelining, replacing, or diminishing independent voices and institutions whose job is to challenge government assumptions from fiscal oversight to budgets.

Canadians and Canada's media need to be alarmed when independent expertise is weakened while financial transparency and integrity declines.

That's not just bad budgeting. It's a breakdown in constitutional accountability and lack of transparency, accountability is why Canada is in one of the worst economic situations in our modern history.

When respected economists, including people who have worked on federal budgets since the 1970s, say they've never seen this level of fiscal opacity, every parliamentarian and Canadian should stand up and pay attention.

The Parliamentary Budget Officer, #PBO the Auditor General, and the Public Accounts Committee have a constitutional duty to determine whether Parliament is being denied the financial information required to exercise its authority over the public purse.

If that's occurring, this is no longer a matter of poor governance but its a direct challenge to responsible government and our democracy.
