User-centered, technically grounded product design. Making things that fold, bend, open, close, collapse, expand, conform, adjust and look good doing it.
@JuliaJuliagulia A camp stove would allow you to boil water, and cook…and as bonus you can throw it in a backpack if you have to move to higher ground during a flood.
@ElectrifyAm I’m at a charger. Was having trouble. App indicates that I have an account, but doesn’t recognize it.
Called and was hung up on after a long hold…twice.
Paid with CC, but service is not just…not good. Upgraded my account for nothing.
Watch: Prof. @DeblinaSarkar59, who leads the @NCB_MIT, explains how harnessing the “spin” of electrons opens a path toward producing highly energy-efficient computers—a vital need as computation demands increase worldwide. Learn more about her work: https://t.co/JqVcfETsnF
The decision at #COP28 to finally recognize that the climate crisis is, at its heart, a fossil fuel crisis is an important milestone. But it is also the bare minimum we need and is long overdue. The influence of petrostates is still evident in the half measures and loopholes included in the final agreement.
Fossil fuel interests went all out to control the outcome, but the passionate work of millions of climate activists around the world inspired and motivated delegates from many nations to loosen the industry’s grip.
Whether this is a turning point that truly marks the beginning of the end of the fossil fuel era depends on the actions that come next and the mobilization of finance required to achieve them.
We must ask ourselves how much longer will the world have wait before all nations summon the political will to overcome these narrow special interests and act on behalf of the future of humanity. It is up to all of us to hold our leaders accountable to their promise to transition away from fossil fuels once and for all.
On July 12/13, the @MassLegislature is holding hearings on the Future of Clean Heat Act. This is a "utility-scale solution to a utility-scale problem." Check out our webinar and attached summary. The future is electrification! @HEET_ma@350MA@CleanH2OMA https://t.co/0vXKJ5MCvB
@SeanMalarkey@JeaneanThomas I know this is old (I’ve seen it before), but when I saw this I thought of you @skateyogi …spreading your love of skateboarding.
4...What's are the consequences for attesting to a false filing in a court case?
It seems to be winning your case and not being forced to design a web site that nobody would ever want you to design.
1...
So her story is that a gay web designer from SF, wanted to hire a bigotted web designer in CO who had never done a wedding web site to design his wedding web site.
3...The request for the fictitious wedding web site was made 1 day after the bigoted web designer filed suit to make sur she would never have to design a hypothetical gay wedding.

Professor Kevin Anderson is addressing all of us in very clear words:
»We are heading towards 3 to 4°C of warming across this century, an absolute climate catastrophe for all species incl our own. And all we are doing so far is giving rhetoric and optimism and greenwash.«

4. This project shows the power of innovative thinking and partnership. A forward-looking non-profit @HEET_MA hatched this idea a few years ago. So exciting to see their vision getting tested in the field!

Together with our project partners, including @heet_ma, we broke ground today on our first-of-its-kind networked geothermal system in @Framingham_MA. 👀 Watch for reports from @wcvb & @WBUR and read more here: https://t.co/c9pyBnoU7y
Great turnout at the #FutureofCleanHeat briefing this week! HEET's @zeynebmagavi talked about the growing national excitement around #networkedgeothermal, which the bill would permit gas companies to build. Just last week, CO passed a bill doing the same. Let's #gogeo in MA!
@frantzfries Like how it finessed that "You didn't really study in college, did you?" question.
Exploring the museums...websites perhaps.
Experience the rich culture...somehow.
.@joeltelling@CNC_Kitchen I just saw a belt kit for the @VoronDesign 2.4 from voronkits. Have you seen this? I’m generally skeptical of belt printers, but maybe Voron can pull it off.
Would love to see a review.
.@AskWorkspace Google workspace suspended. No access to fix billing as suggested. locked out of my email accounts. Not good. I know you've seen this issue before as your user communities and twitter are full of people in the same predicament.
So this happened and support says “just brush it off, it looks fine. BTW did you know our extruder warranty is 3 months?” Fool me once, shame on you. #bambulab#ksbacker#3dprinter#fail
