Did you know that estimates for the current YIELD GAP in the Central West NSW are as low as 36% of the water limiting yield potential??
👉 We need YOUR HELP to address the on-farm issues to close this gap
You are invited to join the CWFS Reference Group.
When: Monday,9th February at 9am.
Where: Condobolin Research Station.
CWFS is working with GOA as part of the new GRDC project “Enhancing productivity and profitability in farming systems in Central NSW”. This is a new, 5-year project aimed at closing the yield gap in our region.
We are after forward thinking growers and advisors to help guide the future direction of the project by being members of our Reference Groups (RG). This group is one of 4 spread across the central west, representing the diversity of our region.
This workshop will be facilitated by GOA & CWFS staff with an aim to identify issues that may be limiting yield or profitability and start the process of developing potential solutions that may require on-farm testing, local validation or higher-level research which will be passed on to GRDC.
Key crops and key facets within each crop such as nutrition, disease, crop sequence and weed control will be explored via a ‘deep dive’ to really nut out the research questions.
Morning tea and lunch will be provided.

Golden fields are stunning and worth capturing 🌾 But remember to choose farms open to visitors, designated vantage points, or agritourism sites listed by councils. Always ask before entering private land.
✅ Do the right thing. Respect farm gates, respect farmers, and respect our future.

V25 Tip 10: Ask questions: Ask visitors if they have been in interstate vineyards in the last 29 days. If so, they could be unknowingly carrying phylloxera on their clothes or shoes. Manage the risks. #Vinehealth
