@Ryandally08 Starmer is his "close friend"....
One might argue as you look across the West, that there is a subordinate cabal working in favour of Islamic interests. There is something sinister & deeper here working against the West. Albanese is a weasel.
@AlanKohler@abcnews And step out their policy framework. It was the Labor Government who leveraged these buyers into the housing market & then destroyed their equity position. A 25%+ correction is on the cards, it's already happening in pockets as vendors try to sell quickly.
@colonelhogans@MikeCarlton01 People are done with the major parties, they have had enough. Why is ON rising so fast? Because people believe PH will do what she says; come what may. I don't support ON, but in regional Australia it's a tsunami coming & people don't care about her plane or Gina. It's coming...
@AvidCommentator Racism.....we beat ourselves up over nothing most of the time. Live & work in Asia, where you find subtle racism everywhere (Malaysian treatment of ethnic Chinese & Indians or Javanese domination of Indonesia). Difference is, it is subtle and whispered. The authorities carry on.
@DanBurmawy 2024 on a beach in Malaysia, it was seriously hot. I watched a Muslim family, father and children in the water having great fun. Mother on the sand in a full Burqua. I felt so sorry for her, it must have been stifling but she endured without complaining. It felt appalling.
This charts cumulative growth in GDP per capita in Australia vs Canada since the start of 2024.
Guess which one is in a technical recession?*
*rhetorical
@SpachusAus Chatter on the ground is that most people are standing back, expecting a correction of significant proportions. No sane person wants to buy a deflating asset.
@AvidCommentator They couldn't be told. They knew better. Then they reversed the market. It's also going to hit bank shares and by default superannuation returns.
I'm not buying this Labor is all about helping young people narrative.
Rental growth is 6.8% nationally (SQM) and vacancy rates remain collapsed.
We have the highest home building rate of major Anglosphere nations, yet we still have an acute rental crisis.
Young people are battling just to secure a roof over their heads and even the National Housing Supply and Affordability Council (a federal government organisation) knows this is crushing household formation rates.
While I do believe that there are elements of Labor who do genuinely want to fix things and were likely the driving force behind the changes targeting property investment on existing homes, the reality is what we are seeing is at best giving with one hand and taking with the other.
Ultimately, the reality is the government cant even be honest with renters why they must continue to suffer, instead allowing the government to be insulated by the propagation of myths and outright lies.
History will not be kind.
'This particular issue runs rampant through our political system.'
Pastor Chris Wickland says Sir Keir Starmer is silent on the murder of Henry Nowak because of a 'modern day progressive ideology' which smears the white English man.
@AvidCommentator@linzcom Without stamp duty, State government budgets are stuffed. Again highlights how highly geared Australia is to property. And a significant correction is underway.
@patcondell The ? Is what is next? Rebellion, civil war? Ultimately your society can't exist in a placated state for long when the justice system is despised by its citizens.
What I find interesting is the double standard.
Australia is full of ethnic, cultural, and community organisations that openly advocate for their communities’ interests. We have Greek organisations, Italian organisations, Islamic organisations, Zionists organisations, Indian organisations, Chinese organisations, Lebanese organisations and countless others. Nobody bats an eyelid.
But the moment people start discussing the Anglo-Celtic foundations of Australia, or the people who built the country, suddenly it’s treated as taboo.
Why?
Why is every group allowed to celebrate its heritage, organise around its community, and advocate for its interests, except the founding culture of the nation itself?
Interesting. The UK justice system is a mess & the indigenous population have lost faith in it. The term racist has lost all meaning leaving white people abandoned. The tragedy of modern Britain.
Lee Kuan Yew abolished trial by jury in Singapore after determining that it was too easy for defence lawyers to appeal to racial and religious biases of juries in multicultural Singapore.
He writes in his memoirs how as a young lawyer he was able to get three clients acquitted who he was sure did commit murder. LKY writes that he "worked on the weaknesses of the jury -- their biases, their prejudices, their reluctance really to find four Muslims guilty of killing in cold blood or in a heat of great passion, religious passion, an RAF officer, his wife and child."
He writes "The judge was thoroughly disgusted. I went home feeling quite sick because I knew I'd discharged my duty as required of me, but I knew I had done wrong.”
Study after study shows that in multi ethnic societies, there is significant in-group bias on juries.
