CONCERNING NEW Jeffco Schools Colorado REPORTS!

Recent reports and tips of serious middle school employee misconduct include:

-Drug overdose by teacher assigned to non-verbal students in school parking lot (employee continues employment)
-Teacher asking an elementary student for their phone number (given letter of "direction")
-Teacher swatting a student on the buttocks with a meter stick (multiple students ran to report to nearby teacher/multiple documented student reports)
-Teacher suspended for unwanted physical touch (on hands/shoulders) and using profanity and “language of a sexual nature” in the classroom.
-Colleagues concerned about how these issues are handled

A Disturbing/Repeated Pattern continues:
- Employees either remain in place or are placed on leave/suspended for misconduct and moved to a Jeffco school with SEVERE AT-RISK students. These schools (i.e. Brady/McClain) have had some of the most egregious sexual assault cases and employees with serious sexual misconduct history!

Here’s the truth about “this mess”:

It wasn’t just one bad teacher having a relationship with a student.
It was an entire system of adults — counselors, administrators, principals, and district leaders — who either looked the other way, helped cover it up, or prioritized their reputations over a child’s safety and the laws designed to protect children from abuse.

Now, Jeffco has hired an Assistant General Counsel to help manage the fallout. While the district claims to have a funding crisis, yet they’re spending taxpayer dollars on more lawyers to defend their own failures.

When it takes a larger legal team to clean up what basic human decency should have prevented, you know leadership has failed.

JCPS deserves real accountability — not more lawyers.

A female teacher sexually groomed a student then school staff helped the student file paperwork to report herself HOMELESS so she can MOVE IN with the teacher— all BEHIND THE PARENTS’ BACKS.

When the mom discovered it she went to the principal who DISMISSED the allegations and said the teacher just helps students navigate their sexuality.

The principal knew about the homeless document and kept it a secret from parents. He is still the principal.

Three families are suing Colorado’s Jefferson County Public Schools (JeffCo) over overnight school trips.

When parents send their children on these trips, JeffCo tells them that girls will room with girls, and boys with boys. But that isn’t the whole truth. Quietly, JeffCo is enforcing a policy that houses students not by sex, but by gender identity.

Parents discovered this policy the hard way:

▪️ In 2022, at a 4-day overnight school camp, an 11-year-old boy was shocked to discover that the counselor assigned to his “Male Bunk House” was an 18-year-old female. This counselor not only slept and changed in the boys’ cabin, but also monitored the young boys’ showers, causing them deep discomfort.

▪️ In 2023, on the first night of a cross-country school trip, an 11-year-old girl was distressed to learn that her hotel roommate—with whom she was supposed to share a bed—was a boy.

Shocked, the parents of these children sought answers. They finally discovered the truth, buried in a “Transgender Policy” that was never communicated to them.

JeffCo defines “girl” and “boy” not by sex, but by gender identity. So when it promises parents to house boys and girls separately, it’s deliberately misleading them.

For months, our client families tried to negotiate a solution. But JeffCo repeatedly refused:
▪️ to inform parents about their policy
▪️ to notify parents about sensitive room assignments
▪️ to let parents opt in or out of such room assignments

This. Is. Wrong. Schools should protect ALL students’ privacy and safety—not just a few. And they should never exclude parents from such weighty decisions.

JeffCo’s is violating students’ and parent’s constitutional rights. But even worse, it’s hurting kids—all kids.

At a vulnerable moment—when these young children are away from home & family—the school district is causing them extreme confusion, stress, and anxiety.

Children shouldn’t pay the price for adults’ bad policies. We’re asking the court to put a stop to it.
