Well this is a fun one 😂 apparently I’m an apostate and am leading my family to destruction 🤣
The things people come up with when you aren’t checking their boxes is INSANE.
So I’m in the midst of doing my first semester of grad-work and the first discussion in this class is “Why Small Groups Are Essential to the Gospel.” Can someone explain to me how that isn’t the most ridiculous statement ever? 😂
Spent time this weekend mapping out where I actually land theologically and it turns out the sign and the thing signified aren’t as separate as some traditions insist.
Covenant means something. The promises made over your kids at the font weren’t just nice words.
If that makes certain rooms nervous… maybe that’s worth asking why 😉
The Bible isn't a conduit for worship, it's a vehicle for revelation. God speaks through it to us. We don't direct worship through it to Him. The moment you make a creature the medium of latria, even with good intentions, you've changed the act entirely. And if that logic works, Rome wins the icon debate.
@XCkyro I'm still (formally at least) a Protestant, but I'd offer this as an answer-
"Then the dragon was angry with the woman, and went off to make war on the rest of her children, those who keep the commandments of God and hold the testimony of Jesus"
Scott Hahn, without hesitation. Watch him talk about Scripture and tell me that man doesn't love Jesus with everything he has. His passion for the Church and the Word is something every minister should aspire to. Disagree with him theologically all you want, that love for Christ is real and it shows.
This is exactly right. The Great Commission is about making disciples of *all nations* not demographic engineering for any ethnic group. Reframing it as natalism + immigration restriction isn't orthodoxy, it's nationalism wearing a Christian costume. Sad to watch but important that people like you are naming it clearly.
Men, if you ever feel this way, come to church. You are of such great value to God. Join His community and be part of something even greater than yourself.
