@MichaelDKarras @100MillionMile @JHWeissmann It's unclear that any amount of solar and wind will meet rapidly increasing power demands in the coming decades. What makes sense intuitively is a rapid increase in development of nuclear. Continuing to pave the state with solar sucks for those of us who enjoy the outdoors here.

@MichaelDKarras @100MillionMile @JHWeissmann Great, then plow under the oil/gas or use existing paved areas and buildings. The solar fields are terrible eyesores in areas with way more usage/visibility than you indicate with plans for a hell of a lot more. It's insane to me that these are sold as environmentally friendly.

@JHWeissmann They're the absolute f$@&king worst. Cover every parking lot and office building with solar before building 1000+ acre farms in what used to be desert meadows full of wildflowers in the spring.

@JHWeissmann I recommend getting out of DC for a minute and spending some time in Utah where massive solar farms are destroying previously beautiful landscapes that have been enjoyed by people for generations.
