I hate QBO.
Either Intuit is having a problem or my IT people are having a problem. I am NOT getting invitations to be the accountant for QBO files and have not been able to get them over the last several days.
My IT people promise me the emails never arrive.
Intuit is telling me that the problem is the QB files already have 2 or more accountants and I need to log in as the master admin and remove the other accountants. I do NOT believe all of these QBO files already have two accountants.
So I am getting the master admin password and username for one of them and troubleshooting.
Anyone else see this recently?

I've been touting @Fidelity to friends and family for years and never had a single problem. Now, TWICE this month they have had outages at the close. What is going on?!
CPA: Client went to a mill. Can you give a second opinion on ERC eligibility?
Me: Always happy to poke holes in nonsense.
CPA: Actually, the mill said the client did not qualify.
Me: You are talking to the wrong guy.
No, I will not refer you to someone more aggressive.

You mean the same 70’s where women couldn’t have their own bank account(1974) and family divorces & intimate partner violence rates peaked? Yeah let’s live like that again.
I wonder if middle class families could get by on one income if they lived like families in the 1970s:
- No air travel
- 1200 sf house
- Kids take loans for college
- No renovating
- No constant tech upgrades
Thoughts?
@ContrarianSaver Disagree, the expectation for material goods is unchanged, the access to them has. The world your referring to or remembering doesn’t exist anymore and the only way for some to live in the situation you described is if they accepted a low quality of life.
@RoamstheRange @MikeSyl36625988 @SiegelMicha @mountainwesttax@RichardCrainCPA The government does have a tendency to name/refer to things that are not what they are, Inflation Reduction Act comes to mind. I am not familiar with the original literature.
@Jmcgowan3838 @kjb_cpa @panerabread I just don’t see this working out for them and see them abandoning the whole concept in a couple years. I absolutely get their narrative. An extremely technical & regulated industry facing a shortage
of skilled labor and increasing client base. Sounds a little too perfect
@MikeSyl36625988 @SiegelMicha @mountainwesttax@RichardCrainCPA@RoamstheRange I think the same reason we pay for property & health insurance. As a millennial whose paid into social security for a decade, I’m skeptical I’ll receive any and I have accepted that. How is that any different except in my scenario these people will have more than enough?
@Jmcgowan3838 @kjb_cpa No way staff will tolerate what needs to be done to to squeeze anymore value out of us, unless billable hours go away or quality goes down. Just look at what PE did to the quality of @panerabread 2/2
@Jmcgowan3838 @kjb_cpa I think they want to get involved but I don’t think PE firms are truly aware of how many hours are eaten even on the partner end. 1/2
@RichardCrainCPA@mountainwesttax @MikeSyl36625988 @RoamstheRange Absolutely agree that it should be an insurance plan. I’m sure there a ton of ways to improve the program but doubt Congress will ever care. They don’t need social security and only pretend to care for votes.
@rhck34 @RichardCrainCPA@mountainwesttax @MikeSyl36625988 @RoamstheRange I know, terrible concept. Those who have excelled in a capitalist society assisting those that weren’t as successful. With capitalism for someone to succeed someone needs to lose and as we’ve seen over time there tends to be a smaller group of winners amassing most of the success
