@Caleb_Nale I’m loving 27. Getting to manage facilities, staff (beyond just Asst Coaches), recruiting. & retaining players within a budget is lots of fun. While I hate NIL, it’s pretty fun in the game
@sirjayfrez@Caleb_Nale It started that way for me but late in Season 1, I’ve got a few 3 stars interested. I’m assuming as I win more, recruits will show more interest. I personally like the challenge
@sirjayfrez@Caleb_Nale I like 27 way more than 26. Gameplay is crisper & coach mode is insanely good. Plus, recruiting is way more challenging with the Dynasty Blueprint & having to manage resources. Don’t get me wrong, I put in over 500 hours on 26. It’s fantastic. But 27 really redefines dynasty mode
@SSN_FresnoState These are the types of players Dogs need to prioritize. Gone are the days of developing guys over 4 years. Go after guys who have shown success at lower levels or cast offs from power schools.

-Successful teams have veteran guards.
-Portal students: experienced life away from home & adapted, have college exp, bigger, stronger
-Players don’t stay so investing doesn’t matter. If they’re gonna be 1 & dones, get FCS or other D1 players who have had some prior success
@beware_bulldogs (1)While the portal does rear its head in FB, it doesn’t decimate like in hoops. In FB, can still develop players because many stay. In hoops, rosters turn over almost every year. So my philosophy for Dogs, abandon HS recruiting and focus on building through the portal. Why?
@beware_bulldogs So great having you back on the air. Listened to the pod, & am really excited about the Enterprises. I have some thoughts about college hoops and roster construction which I’ll share separately
@1977bballfan@AlScott1998@SlashCEO@D1shawn35@FresnoSportsMag@FresnoStateMBB The issue is the only thing you can “build” is a winning culture. Players won’t stay long unless they want to remain closer to home. Going the “Jake” route for players appears to be the best way to succeed for mid-majors now. I personally don’t think Wahlberg is the answer.
@SSN_FresnoState This is why the he’s “building something” argument doesn’t fly. Players don’t stay for four years any more. Gotta be able to retool each year
@ericpz @Mike1090423242@Caleb_Nale@FresnoStateMBB Solid job. Hmmm.
6-26 & 13-19
7 game improvement sounds decent until you realize the first season was the worst in the history of Fresno basketball. Pretty sure we can do better, even with limited resources.
