En el momento del pase hay una línea de 7 ingleses más el portero, todos con más de 1.85 de estatura, y el balón va a llegar exactamente al punto donde Lautaro (1.74) va tener la portería para él solo.
Messi.

I’ve never seen—and I don’t think I ever will see—a more complete footballer than Lionel Messi.
Imagine being almost 40 years old, the oldest player on the pitch, in a game full of physical battles and hard tackles, yet still adapting effortlessly. Carrying the ball, dribbling past players, and absorbing challenge after challenge without fading.
Now imagine England scoring first, shutting down the middle completely, defending with 5 defenders, the clock ticking away, your team on the verge of elimination from the World Cup.
So what do you do?
You move out to the wing, take complete control of the game, and start creating chances in every possible way—early crosses, inswingers, outswingers—whatever the situation demands.
Then you complete the comeback.
You turn defeat into victory with 2 assists, including a brilliant one with your weaker foot. You create 4 chances, 2 of them clear-cut. You complete 9 successful dribbles and win 12 duels, more than anyone else on the pitch.
Show me another player in football history who has produced a half like that at 40 years old, in a World Cup semifinal.
You won’t.
Only Messi.
He has now been directly involved in 12 of Argentina’s 19 goals at this World Cup, contributing in every single game.
Now do you understand why Lionel Messi is the greatest footballer in history? 👑💙
What happened today in the Argentina vs. England game was absolute madness.
Imagine a game full of fouls, with barely any football being played and almost no real chances. Then, out of nowhere, England scored a scrappy goal and completely shut the game down. Thomas Tuchel even brought on three defenders—Dan Burn, Chris Rigg O’Riley, and Ezri Konsa—to protect the lead.
But Tuchel clearly didn’t learn from the Egypt vs. Argentina game. He forgot he was facing Lionel Messi, the greatest player in football history.
As always, Scaloni made the decisive adjustment. He moved Messi out wide and introduced Lautaro Martínez and Nicolás González alongside Julián Álvarez in the box, with Alexis Mac Allister arriving from midfield. Messi simply started delivering cross after cross.
The result? Enzo Fernández scored a stunning equalizer in the 86th minute, and Lautaro Martínez completed the comeback in the 92nd—both goals assisted by Messi.
A truly historic comeback.
A fully deserved place in the World Cup final for Argentina, who will now play in back-to-back World Cup finals for the first time in their history.
And above all, it’s another deserved moment for the greatest player in football history, Lionel Messi. 💙
Learn Geometry - clearly onside. VAR could have been requested. No one complained. England made a terrible strategic blunder by going defensive after 60 minutes and not playing their game. The English coach will have some questions to answer about that blunder. The game was excellent. Both sides played well. Refs were solid. The better team won.
