@thatgoythere@GuerillaLawyer@SteveSkojec Excellent job of failing to address my point and also just claiming things don’t align w scripture or early Church history w/o proof, while also deciding to align w people who were heretics or schismatics
@thatgoythere@GuerillaLawyer@SteveSkojec Either:
1) all of the ancient denominations who have Apostolic Succession (Eastern Orthodox, Oriental Orthodox, Catholic, Church of the East) are correct
Or
2) This Helvidian opinion that was rejected by the Early Church and crops up again in Protestantism is correct
@LindaHConley13@KirkDogless We do not consider ourselves one with them. We recognize the validity of their ordinations and sacraments and despite efforts at reunification (Eastern rite Catholic Churches) we still are separated from Eastern & Oriental Orthodoxy and Church of the East
@LindaHConley13@KirkDogless Please don’t make such easily disproved statements. Eastern Orthodoxy, Oriental Orthodoxy and Church of the East all existed before the 1500s.
@BridgeBrannon@The_Catechumen I never mentioned denominations. Just different positions held by protestants who claim to only believe the bible but somehow come to at least 3 different interpretations of baptism
@BridgeBrannon@The_Catechumen Which protestants? The ones the believe in baptismal regeneration or the ones that don’t? If it’s the ones that do, is it the pedo-baptists or the credo-baptists that have it right?
@JMJCircello I don’t believe he is affirming that there are truly mid level dieties only that people believed that there were but in actuality they are merely the spirits of human-angel hybrids (not fallen angels)
@JMJCircello don’t understand the problem with his explanation. It sounds like he is saying that the before Second Tmeple Judaism demon referred to either damned human soul or human angel hybrids, and the hybrids are the ones that people treated as ‘mid-level dieties.’ (all the pagan gods)
