@Snapchat
SNAPCHAT IS DELETING PEOPLES ACCOUNTS AND KEEPING THEIR DATA.
LOSING MY ACCOUNT HAS HAD A TOLL ON MY MENTAL HEALTH. I EXPRESSED HOW I LOST MEMORIES OF PEOPLE WHO HAVE PASSED AND NOW I CANT LOOK BACK AT THE MEMORIES AND I FEEL SUICIDAL DUE TO IT AND THEY IGNORED ME.
I was effectively prevented from reactivating my account despite acting within the stated timeframe.
This has caused me significant distress. My account contained years of personal memories, including irreplaceable images and conversations with people who have since passed away.

However, this time, I attempted to log in within that same timeframe and was not allowed access. Instead, my account appears to have been permanently deleted before the 30-day period had fully elapsed.
Given this, I do not understand why my account and its data were not recoverable when I attempted to regain access.
During this time, I made multiple attempts to log in and requested password reset links several times, none of which enabled me to regain access
Additionally, I understand from your policies that even after the 30-day deactivation period, there may be an additional period (up to 60 days) before data is fully and permanently deleted from your systems.
@snapchatsupport
According to your terms, I understand that I should have 30 days to reactivate a deactivated account before it is permanently deleted. On a previous occasion, I successfully reactivated my account on the 30th day.

Dear Snapchat Support,
I am writing to formally complain about the deletion of my account and what I believe to be a breach of your stated reactivation policy, as well as a potential violation of my data rights under UK GDPR.
