Man are we still strawmaning why people are upset about Vivek? This just isn't going to help move political discourse forward. If Vivek had come out on Christmas and said "yes.. Heritage Americans exist. No- I am not as American as someone who's family has been here since 1625." he'd be the King of the alt-right, regardless of his race. Yes I know there are racist remarks on twitter but you have to understand what people's actual issues are.

It was just depressing to watch them devolve into "but there are individuals of X group who are good!" like yeah no one disputes that. We aren't talking about individuals- we're talking about whether or not we get to have a country or whether mass migration is going to take it away from us.

I just don't like this summary. Even people who are against demographic change are not opposed to small amounts of diversity. It's about remaining the majority- meaning keeping America fundamentally an Anglo-European western country that represents the interest of that civilization, where those cultural preferences are reflected.

Eh… I mean yeah they are fleeing violence and didn’t we let in like 50 gajillion people under that same justification? One of the things I’m mentally sort of working through right now is the fact that stories like this (amplified via our woke media) has made me reconsider how I feel about inter-racial marriages. I just have met and hear about too many mixed kids who go through life with deep, pathological issues due to deracination or alienation from one side of their ancestry at the expense of the other. I’m not really sure even where I land on it anymore. I feel like it didn’t used to be this way and mixed kids didn’t exhibit this type of behavior but maybe I just didn’t hear about it? Idk
