i respect people who tell me the truth, even when it hurts, because i’d rather deal with a painful reality than be comforted by a beautiful lie. honesty gives me the chance to understand, grow, and make my own decisions. you don’t have to tell me what i want to hear, just tell me what’s real. i can handle the truth, but it’s hard to forgive someone who made me believe something that was never true.
