Given how Aguero Banks has been spending time with Phyno lately, I really thought they would collaborate on a song for the album.

I had lived in this rental apartment for almost a year. My landlord was a decent man, usually friendly, and never gave me trouble as long as I paid my rent.

Then I started dating his daughter, Natalie.

We met at a local coffee shop, exchanged numbers, and slowly grew closer. She was funny, caring, and easy to talk to. I knew her dad could be overprotective, so she suggested we keep our relationship quiet until we knew where it was going.

One Saturday evening, her father stopped by to pick up a package that had been delivered to our apartment. When he walked in, he found Natalie sitting beside me on the couch, holding my hand.

His expression changed immediately.

"Natalie, can you give us a minute?" he asked.

After she stepped outside, he turned to me.

"I trusted you to be a good tenant. I didn't expect you to start dating my daughter without my notice"

I explained that Natalie and I were both adults and that we hadn't done anything wrong.

He wasn't interested.

"My daughter deserves someone who's serious about her future," he said. "Your lease is up next month. Don't expect me to renew it."

I was stunned. I'd paid my rent on time, followed the rules, and never caused him any problems.

That night, Natalie called me crying.
