@_IanReynolds@tazwake For 8 years experience? They are dreaming… maybe it’s a deliberate tactic for promoting someone internally discouraging external applicants whilst following process?
Delighted to complete my @StoriesWisdom facilitator certification as it combines three things I love - stories, gamification and social learning. Now to apply it to cybersecurity!

As it's #iwd here's a little story:
- I loved writing, and when I was a kid I used to make my own little newspapers
- but growing up the only women I saw in the press were Page 3 girls in my granddad's Sun
- my family said you couldn't go into journalism unless you "knew people" and we didn't
- my careers teacher said "everyone wants to be a journalist, think of something else"
- I was shy but somehow I always liked performing/public speaking. I was told drama wasn't a "proper" subject
- I went to uni but couldn't afford to study journalism after my degree
- I took the long way round but I am now the BBC's first on-screen technology editor. I got the job in my 40s while pregnant with baby #3
It can be done 💪💪
Please if you’re starting out your career in #Cybersecurity, you have no business studying for CISSP.
You’ll get no real value. That cert is for people with 5+ years of industry experience.
Please focus on entry level generic certs (ISC2 CC, Security +, etc) and certs for the niche in cybersecurity that you’ve chosen.
@simonrim @greensveggie Whilst I’ve never been to your store; I wanted to say kudos to you for making what must have been a very difficult video to let people know. Really sorry to hear that this is happening after 33 years - wish the government would do something to support SMEs who are backbone. 🥲
ok, I've now read the full NYT complaint filed this morning vs OpenAI and Microsoft. I'm impressed - it's future-focused around fair value for work vital to democracy. It also contains 220k pages of exhibits although the pages of Ex J stood out to me. more on that in a minute. /1
As a UK @STEMAmbassadors, I give talks to students.
I've now published a short ebook 'A Tale of Two Keyboards' to inspire more women to work in cybersecurity - whether they are doing exams at school or thinking about a career changer later in life.

First, ADHD is a terrible name. It's not an attention deficit, it's an attention regulation disorder. There is plenty of attention, it's just not directed towards the things you're "supposed" to attend to, and attention may move around more than it's "supposed" to.
There are a lot of hacktivist groups and known adversaries engaged in the cyber conflict around the #IsraelPalestineConflict.
@CrowdStrike pulled together a graphic to highlight some of what we're seeing.
I’m delighted to let you know about my forthcoming book ‘Understand the Cyber Attacker Mindset’ 😍
Including interviews with ex-criminals and top experts to share insights and case studies profiling #Anonymous, #Lapsus$, #FIN7, #YahooBoys, #Sandworm, #Lazarus, #JackTeixeria

Climate breakdown is happening all around us – floods , fires , droughts , crop shortages . . . thousands of people are dying
So I ask a simple question – 'Is It Time to Break the Law to protest for the planet' ?
