It's a bit of a crap study, a subset of a larger one based on UN goals. No requirement that anyone actually visited any of these countries, and I would suspect that had North Korea participated, they would have been a stellar dark green too. In personal experience - lose a wallet in Japan, and it'll be right there and every cent still in it. Lose it in China, and not so much.

@WarClandestine True enough and the suspects are likely all the same bunch. Something this large will have small bystanders involved looking for a way out as Russiagate unfolds. Even basic process crimes will hurt for many - Plea deals will most certainly play a role before the main show.

@Grummz Setting fires in public places is probably a pretty strong hook in being against the law. I'd kinda like to see them argue that one. The fact it's a flag is protected - as you say, it's better than I imagined. He's got way better atty's under his wing this time around.

@ScottAdamsSays I’m guessing that’s double what they are now - and this is trade negotiations. In theory students return home with American culture, leaving money for their time. In theory. I don’t see it much more than a doubling of a smaller chess piece in talks for a much larger game.

They no longer represent a hero’s journey - starting humble, struggling with the price of power, growth in a journey, and doing what’s right in the end coupled with personal sacrifice. Today everyone starts powerful, cracks jokes, destroys buildings, and laughs all the way while stomping one’s enemy. Sure, there are story arcs as in any action movie - but not that of a hero’s journey.

The Newsom 'I can be Trump' strategy is viable to put some solid early lead when it comes to primaries. imho it's a big deal as it lines up donors behind the scenes - anything this early is all about backroom stuff and posturing the overall party for the midterms which would be a test for Newsom's overall '28 viability. They are currently all over the place, losing the big topics left and right . . . and need at the least pivot to look somewhat organized with leadership. No one bets on a losing horse and right now the horse doesn't seem to have a rider. Newsom (being dem royalty) is opportunistically attempting to fill the void. Come actual game time, this behavior won't fly - no one wants a knockoff of last elections model.

Even with the results are polluted, it's still gonna upend the trillion dollar online search industry. The dawn of natural language style computer interactions with AI results are far more efficient in both answers and understandability. Just waiting for the product placements to barge in like they did back in the old TV days. Search engines long ago created their own usability issue with achingly painful websites that should have simple answers converted into long scrolling, multiple ad loading noise with (if you are lucky) the signal you are looking for hidden somewhere towards the end. Anyways. I guess I'll happily take the efficient new crap over the slow and painful old crap. Bring on the new SEO . . . I mean . . . AI games!

I was there during the change. I remember those exec meetings, the arguments, the new management hires from southbeach brought some of the concepts over …. And the old school execs scoffed, but agreed on a smaller test property - it worked. Then the greed took over. The nail in the coffin was from the loyalty data - people didn’t care. They complained, but still came back and spent the same or more. That was a different time, different economy. I miss the buffets.
