On this day in 1965, Capel Celyn was drowned to create a reservoir for Liverpool.
It became a symbol of Wales’ powerlessness under Westminster rule.

Today marks the anniversary of Aberfan, where 116 children and 28 adults were killed.
This disaster was a result of the failure's of the National Coal Board.
We must never forget those lost, never again.
