@Lenworth_22#edu6323 i agree its all about moderation and self regulation, but that requires learning the skill set because it is so easy to get swept away
@Lenworth_22#edu6323 I loved that too! I think an important aspect of formal education is relevancy so its good to see informal learning being incorporated
@Evelyn05891014#edu6323 completely agree its all about moderation. i deactivated facebook for a while and found i missed several event invitations :/ so brought it back to stay connected but try to balance it with in person connections
#edu6323 regarding the autocorrect video. i get it. but choose to view the possibilities of technological connection with optimism. i would love to be face to face with my friends and classmates, but technology allows me to maintain connections from a distance
@LaurenC42893676 #edu6323 I am sure there were other students who wanted to learn a different way. Do you think all of those students got the same level of personal learning?
@ManyDerrick@LoebAnnie#edu6323 great point. technology can be a great way of connecting, but effort is still required for personal connection on a meaningful level
#edu6323 I think PLNs provide a great opportunity for engaging students in their unique learning preferences and styles, but I still think its rude to fall asleep during a presentation..
#edu6323 I think digital polling encourages engagement and therefore motivation. If students are engaged and participating in formative assessment they are more likely to remain motivated to continue learning and improving.
@Mc94Molly My fiance still plays Pokemon Go lol. I agree it is a great example of using AR to grab interest and can easily incorporate learning that is fun! #edu6323
@Evelyn05891014 YES! I have only seen one episode but it was traumatizing, hopefully VR/AR doesn't take on a Black Mirror story line in real life! #edu6323
whoa! so cool! i was amazed by the video of coloring a picture and having it pop up to 3d. i was also surprised to find ar and vr is further on the hype curve than i realized. #edu6323
@Lenworth_22 Agree! Its a great place to start but for real research you need to dig deeper. In undergrad I had a group paper where someone used wikipedia in their references and I had to redo it.. traumatizing #edu6323
I LOVE Wikipedia! I think it is a beautiful representation of how the internet can be used for collaboration and has provided me with a starting point for research as well as rabbit holes of entertainment #edu6323
#edu6323 since I focus on corporate learning, a LMS is essential to our operations. It provides customers a streamlined professional experience. I think I would still prefer an LMS for other types of online learning experiences for the education focused approach
