🧵Ten questions Florida should answer before detonating the property tax system:
1. If this is real tax reform, what replaces it?
Florida built local government around property taxes because Florida has no state income tax.
You can dislike the system, but you cannot remove the load-bearing wall without explaining what keeps the roof from collapsing afterward.
I want to thank Senator John Cornyn for his years representing our state.
We don’t agree on everything, but we both still believe in public service.
To Senator Cornyn’s supporters: you have a place in our campaign.
This is good! Pia is stepping up
If you haven’t been following, Pia has tremendous fundraising. She was making a longshot bid against Mast but that is a much redder seat
This move gives democrats a strong recruit in the #FL22
Florida Politics: Pia Dandiya (D) shifts candidacy to Florida’s open 22nd congressional district, leaving Brian Mast (R) challenge behind
She enters the new race with an endorsement from Nikki Fried and $1.17M cash on hand.
Trump won this district by about 10 points.

@SusieWiles47@RapidResponse47 I’d like to see them try to make me economically free of my overpriced insurance premium. Are you for real?I’ll bet you have fully funded government insurance that covers your cancer treatment and your scrips.
@MarcACaputo Sad to see how far you have fallen. Enough already. Why should we believe anything these people say - this is a manufactured BS story so Trump can have an excuse to start another war.
No country in the current economic and military situation that Cuba is in would ever preemptively strike a super power like the US. This is just propaganda to build a case for an invasion of Cuba.
The Thomas Massie primary is truly insane. We are looking at the most expensive U.S. House primary in history, with spending pushing toward $35 million.
Massie's opponent, Ed Gallrein, has raised just $2 million on his own. The rest of the money, over $14 million, is coming from outside Super PACs who desperately want Massie gone.
On top of that, Pete Hegseth is being deployed to Kentucky to campaign against him. Stephen Miller & Con Inc. have been on massive Twitter tirades attacking him. And there was a highly coordinated smear campaign of unfounded allegations launched this week by Con Inc. influencers.
When the establishment is willing to spend $35M+ and go to these lengths to take one man down, it really makes you wonder why.
Whether you like Massie or not, this election will determine whether or not we as voters actually have a voice anymore. If outside special-interest money can successfully buy a seat and sway an election like this, we have a serious, serious problem.
Well this is both hilarious… and depressing at the same time.
Trump’s Interior Secretary just discovered that the sun sets at night…
Doug Burgum said:
“When the sun goes down, solar panels produce zero electricity. The whole machine doesn't work.”
Then, Rep. Jared Huffman literally held a battery up and said:
“I request to enter into the record this amazing new technology that apparently the Secretary is unaware of. It’s a battery.”
Then Huffman added that China has figured it out, “that’s why they are cleaning our clock on clean energy.”
Energy storage exists. Grid-scale batteries exist. Entire countries are building them at scale right now.
But, here we are, still debating whether solar panels stop working when the sun sets.
At some point it stops being a policy disagreement and starts feeling like we’re arguing with reality itself.
#OurMargate is constantly improving and investing in new irrigation and greenery.
About 130 trees of all varieties have recently been planted along two miles of Rock Island Road.
We're committed to making Margate even more beautiful... one median at a time!
Not even close in the #NESen Dem primary; Cindy Burbank, who plans to drop out and make it easier for Dan Osborn to compete against Pete Ricketts, beats a conservative candidate who was expected to stay in and split the vote. https://t.co/r9PcWm8UYC
This is why Ricketts put a plant into the Dem primary...he knows a head to head race with Osborn is competitive and he needs candidates on the ballot to peel off votes. Vote for ***Cindy Burbank*** for US Senate so Ricketts candidate he placed in our Dem primary doesn't advance.
@PeteButtigieg So true. I love my hometown of 3000 people. Many friends still live in the area. But mist who were able left and never came back. Opioid addiction has only made it worse. we never locked our doors, we never had crime. It’s still a great place but it could be so much better.
