Something I've observed over the past 4 months re: the TADC finale.
The people I know who watch a wide variety of media ultimately liked the ending. Meanwhile, the people who consume cartoons exclusively thought of the ending as "the worst thing ever."
Something to ponder.
i think its very moving that theres a story about a trans girl whos so deep in denial about her true self that she lashes out and hurts people and ruins her own life and ultimately commits suicide and people see that and draw her happy alive and beautiful in a life she never got
Theres a difference between internet famous and "merch of your characters are appearing in retail stores and the finale is a widespread theatrical release" famous
as an independent full-time artist, the older i get the more and more i deeply resonate w Spencer from iCarly like i genuinely get why he acts like that
tbh i think knights of guinevere was the first time i ever felt like i was watching an actual Adult Show that was simply (beautifully) animated rather than an Animated Adult Show. does this make sense
