I just finished my PhD in Clinical Psychology and am looking for opportunities to make an impact.
I have expertise in meta-analyses, advanced stats, psychometrics, R, and project management. If you know of a position that might be a great fit, please feel free to reach out.
@OmidVEbrahimi Congratulations on your PhD and the award! From afar, I’ve been impressed by the quality of your work—it’s truly inspiring. I hope you can take some well-deserved time to celebrate this amazing achievement.
Across 91 RCTs, self-report instruments did not overestimate the effects of psychotherapy for depression and were generally more conservative than clinician-rated instruments.

Vienna is one of my favorite cities in the world. Would love to hear more about what working in research and academia is like here. The good, the bad, and the ugly?

@pash22@dnunan79@ProfRobHoward@GordonGuyatt@statsepi Also though I don’t want to comment on which is the right analysis, surely we can all agree that a meta-analytic estimate that changes significance if a few events are added is not robust? Maybe we do need a trial?
🎓 Excited to announce my PhD defense! 🎓

Interested in meta-science? Come do a PhD with me and @maltoesermalte at @unibe in beautiful Switzerland. Open topic although we focus on error detection (see @error_reviews) and flexibility in measurement & methods. Email or DM either of us for details. Topic ideas welcome!
I never thought of using multiverse plots to illustrate the results of simulation studies until I saw @cjsewall9 do it in a thread. It's such a good idea!
I adapted Craig's code into a simple generic plotting function & will use them in my lectures in future.
Today is @nulliusverbapod first birthday! @smreeteemehta and I put out 28 podcast episodes from what should motivate scientists to preregistration. Thanks to all of you for listening! We were wondering: What is your favorite episode? And which topic should we discuss next?
Did you know of this meta-analytic website by @pimcuijpers et al. featuring hundreds of RCTs?
In the video I'll show researchers (part I) and clients (part II) how to run a systematic meta-analysis looking into the effect of CBT on depression in older adults within 1 minute.
