I need to say it out of my chest, now.

First, not all women menstruate. Millions of women never have periods due to medical conditions, menopause, etc. Are they suddenly not women? If periods are the defining feature, then post-menopausal women and women with reproductive disorders would somehow be excluded from the category of "women."

Second, the ability to carry children cannot be the standard either. Many women cannot become pregnant or choose not to. Infertile women, women with medical conditions, women who've had their uterus removed, and women who simply don't want children are still unquestionably women. Reducing womanhood to reproduction treats women like biological functions rather than full human beings.

Ironically, womens spent decades pushing back against that exact idea. For generations, women fought to be recognized as more than their reproductive role. Women fought for the right to vote, work, study, control their own bodies, and exist in society without being defined solely by motherhood.

Third, gender has always been more complex than a checklist of biological traits. Society should recognizes womanhood not just through anatomy but through social identity, roles, and lived experience. Language, culture, and psychology all shape how we understand gender. That's why concepts like gender identity exist: because human identity doesn't always line up with biological categories.

Trans women are not PRETENDING!
They are people whose internal sense of gender does not match the sex they were assigned at birth. Decades of medical and psychological research have documented this reality. Gender dysphoria is a legitimate condition.

Another thing worth pointing out: including trans women doesn't erase cis women. Rights are not a finite resource where acknowledging one group somehow deletes another. Women's rights movements have historically expanded to include more people over time: women of color, lesbians, disabled women, and others who were once excluded. Inclusion has always been part of progress.

If the goal is genuinely supporting women, then the conversation should focus on issues that actually harm women: violence, discrimination, healthcare access, economic inequality, and reproductive rights. Turning womanhood into a biological purity test does nothing to solve those problems.

Human identity is complicated. Compassion and basic respect shouldn't be.

This statement is just transphobia dressed up as feminism. That's it.
