@SandyofCthulhu Martin is that band that gets popular because one of their specific songs gets a lot of radio play, but that song isn't actually indicative of their overall tone and vision.
I would argue this doesn't stop books from getting published. It's a consumption issue not production
@SandyofCthulhu I would agree with some of the thrust of this, but I don't think the breakdown on Martin is fair. Martin's finished tons of stuff, he hasn't finished the one thing that got super popular, which I would argue he never really had a great desire to finish in the first place.

@Nerdcognito People who dislike 5e: it baby-mode D&D, no consequence.
Brennan: *makes there be consequences*
Same People: see! He's not actually playing D&D
@richbarcellos On a level it depends on how flattened you're addressing things I'd think:
"Fear/Flee/Etc" are all expressly used as motivators in salvation related discussions, including Christ Himself. However, Faith in Christ without love is also not a Biblically recognized state.
@BlackDumpling I would not allow it due to it inherently shifting my world: Jesus either becomes a fictional deity without any connection to the real actual Almighty Word, and so just build a fictional god, or introducing actual real world metaphysics into my setting which completely derails it
The thing about chess is when you lose, there's no dice, no bad hand, no twitch.... There's just a guy who was better than you.
You either love the game or hate it because of that.
@DungeonNoir Loved 3rd and its variants, but I will ALSO say that once a year I sit down and build a character with my 3.5PHB just to remind myself why I don't do it anymore....
@espinoza_dy (before I get a million replies: this is the general rule. Specific instances might require more direct confrontation, where I would specifically inform a party to not come to the table...)
@espinoza_dy In my reading scripture, whether or not someone should be partaking in the Lord's Table is ultimately only something known directly between them and God. Biblical requirements, and biblical warning for improper participation, should be stated. Then it's on the partaker, not me.
