The purpose of my trip to the West Nile sub-region starting today, is to once again stoke the NRM efforts of wealth creation, by engaging with the people.

I visited four farmers who have followed my advice of adopting modern commercial and calculated farming that has now propelled them into the money economy.
These farmers are proof that Museveni is not Enzo (lying) about the possibilities of creating wealth through commercial farming.

Tomorrow, i will interact with the wananchi at a public gathering to hear what they have to say on the Parish Development Model.

I hosted @DrSJaishankar , India’s Minister of External Affairs at my home in Rwakitura this afternoon.
We discussed issues of mutual interest and agreed to cooperate in the areas of agriculture, ICT, defense & security, development of the pathogenic economy, etc.
I welcome him.

@KagutaMuseveni As you do this your Excellency, I ask that you also deal with the people who are trying to steal the PDM money so that people do not lose hope and don't get involved.

The NRM will not fail to bring the culprits to book. The government has committed substantial resources to get people out of poverty and we shall crosscheck with the PDM secretariat on the guidelines for forming the parish saccos.

These funds are meant to directly reach people in the parish so that everybody who wants to engage in wealth creation can join without paying. Why then charge people membership fees?

I thank the RCC Gulu City, Jane Francis Amongin Okili and her group of local leaders from the Acholi sub-region for bringing to my attention the misappropriation of PDM funds. The PDM will not fail, and anyone trying to sabotage it will be dealt with swiftly.

@KagutaMuseveni The PDM initiative has to work your Excellency. This is because when people get the money they need to add to their farms and their businesses it becomes easier for them to achieve their goals stop.

@KagutaMuseveni We ought to embrace value addition for it is one of the many ways that ugandans can easily get out of poverty. If our products have added value, they are more expensive and more valuable on the international market.
