That is, until late in the half, when Ava Zimmerman netted a deep ball from Josey Arnold to jolt her hat trick and Bryan’s 3-1 win over St. Marys.

Ava Zimmerman and Emaline Slagle each with a first-half goal, with Trinidee Baughman getting an assist on Zimmerman’s.

Bryan improves to 1-1. Lima Shawnee falls to 0-1.

Bryan’s girls soccer team had an upbeat practice on Monday and switched up some tactics from Saturday’s loss to Celina for Tuesday’s match against Lima Shawnee.

It worked.

Bryan scored two first-half goals and blanked the Indians for a 2-0 win.
