@megan_sgr @TheOther16Hours @EdPshe @pshe Congratulations on your new role! Can we recommend you follow us & @PSHEassociation 😁. It’s actually less clear-cut than that, as schools have been left to make the decision what they count as ‘sex Ed’ from the RSE guidance and communicate that in their policies.

@missjnt2310@MrTs_NQTs Try to enjoy it and have fun. Ensure your planning is engaging, challenging and that you enjoy teaching it. If you do this will shine through and make you more confident. Everyone feels like an imposter when they start teaching. Celebrate each small win you have. Good luck
@missjnt2310@MrTs_NQTs I just ensured that i was consistent in my strategies and expectations and i stuck to them. I tried to praise and reward as much as i could and i was always very open and clear with pupils about what we was doing, i was doing and why. Young people appreciate authenticity
@missjnt2310@MrTs_NQTs I found it helpful to identify any pupils that had additional needs or those i found hard to reach and engage initially. I gathered as much information as i could about them, spoke to any keyworkers they had them and observed them in other lessons to pick up ideas /strategies.

Only a few weeks ago a student teacher taught a lesson about the 1999 Brixton, Brick Lane & Admiral Duncan nail bombings. Very difficult but necessary to remember & teach to combat hate wherever it exists, all the time & remember why #Pride is essential now, even 50 years later.
Since 2020, our #LGBT+ network has been working hard to ensure that sexuality and gender identity aren't barriers to being a #magistrate: https://t.co/9S1hbO7Jvk #pride2022#inclusionmatters
We always refer to "social action", but what exactly does that mean in practice? Well, there are plenty of example projects emerging from the pilot of our new framework, Bring About Change. Programme manager Stella tells us more...
