@Lucia_P27 I agree, the Internet is very different from TV and because so many people interact and create on the internet, it would be very difficult for the FCC to regulate the internet the way it regulates television.
@AyeshaE07196790 I think you made a lot of great points. The FCC's regulation would not be successful as the internet is so intricate. It is best to leave that control to the individual if they choose to not see certain things. The FCC shouldn't limit the freedom of speech given on the internet.
#1D05andX1D1Media180 The FCC shouldn't regulate the internet the way it regulated network TV. The internet is such a vast environment that it seems nearly impossible to fully and accurately regulate the way that TV is regulated. Algorithms and the diversity of content make it
difficult to do so. Furthermore, the internet already offers users a choice in the content they consume, and a choice of filters and parental controls which allow them to control their own experience, without the outside help of the FCC. Lastly, the internet enables global
@dwnnmedia I think you brought up an interesting point about the heat acting as a motif. I think it also mirrors the frustrations of the characters as they continuously express their discomfort with the heat. The color grading of the film also helped to illustrate the intense heat.
@Lucia_P27 I agree that the directing of camera angles was well executed and did a really good job of almost including the viewer in the scene. The addition of music also helps to elicit emotions from the viewer, whether it be joy, anxiousness, anger, etc.
The use of close-up shots made the scene more personal towards the viewer. Throughout the film, we witnessed instances of racial profiling, prejudice, and microaggressions and are thus faced with the harsh reality of systemic racism and police brutality, issues still faced today.
#1D05andX1D1Media180 After watching the film “Do The Right Thing,” I was left shocked and frustrated. The film portrays the vibrant community of Bed-Stuy, illustrating the intricate interactions and dynamics between characters. However, when the altercation erupted at
In the scene between Radio Rahmeed and Sal, the director skillfully switched between angles, capturing the intensity of the scene. During the fight, the camera quickly switched between characters, capturing their reactions and illustrating the chaos that ensued.
@Lucia_P27 I agree that the ad is very creative and charming. The choice of using dancers in GAP's clothing allows the audience to see the clothing in motion, advertising both comfort and style
@llDanielaa I agree that Ice Spice's popularity helps bring in more customers to Dunkin, particularly her fans who want to try the drink inspired by the artist.
The commercial features their song "Butter" which broke streaming records within the first 24 hrs. This collab is part of the McDonald’s Famous Orders program, which also featured J Balvin and Travis Scott. (2/2) https://t.co/QjR6DDLeQ6

@JenniferZh75236 I think you made a good point about cable having the ability to connect people but also its limitations and the inability to unite everyone due to its large variety of content.
@dwnnmedia I agree, while different from how traditional broadcast tv networks formed a sense of community, I think our sense of community has simply evolved given the digital age we live in. Cable has provided smaller communities based on certain content and interests.
watch content individually, I think its still possible to watch cable tv with family and friends and foster that bonding experience. While different from traditional broadcast network tv systems, cable tv offers different forms of community. (4/4)
Rather than disrupting our sense of community, I think cable has created different forms of community. Cable provides a wider range of entertainment that broadcasting network tv systems didn't have. It offered content that appeals to different interests (1/4) #1D05andX1D1Media180
With content being shared on a set schedule, families and friends would gather around and watch TV, and with its limited content, there is an overall shared experience and bond within the population, less limited to certain niches. However, while cable allows for people to (3/4)
