“Ya lollygag the ball around the infield. Ya lollygag your way down to first.
Ya lollygag in and out of the dugout. You know what that makes you?
Larry?”
“Lollygaggers.”
Still my favorite!!
Interesting fact: Tony Bennett was demoted during World War II because he ate with a black soldier before racial integration. Tony Bennett invited his Black friend, Frank Smith, to dine with him at a time when soldiers were still officially segregated. As a result, a bigoted officer demoted Bennett from corporal to private and reassigned him to a unit that exhumed mass graves and prepared the bodies of soldiers for shipment back home[1]. This incident was an example of the widespread prejudice and discrimination that existed in the army during that time[1]. Tony Bennett later became an advocate for civil rights and joined Dr. Martin Luther King during the 1965 civil rights march in Alabama[1].
RIP Tony Bennett

Playing with energy...Is NOT being a cheerleader in the dugout or talking shit! It IS, backing up bases, running balls out, taking hard turns, taking the extra base, communicating in the field, breaking up double plays and being locked in, focused, motivated and DETERMINED!

WE DON’T NEED MORE LOOK AT ME
WE NEED MORE COACHES BUILDING CHARACTER
My daughter — a junior in high school — started reffing this winter. She finished a 7th grade CATHOLIC school game & a middle aged man followed her to her car and asked, "Was your whistle broke? Because you didn't use it enough." Wish I was along to punch that clown in the face!

Simple math. This is an awesome visual. If you can’t catch & throw at an elite level, your opportunities for playing time will reduce and your career will be cut short. Throwing routines should be executed with the intent of the last play of the championship. #AimSmallMissSmall
