Love this quote from @DataToViz' great talk at @d3unconf! :D -> "The farther away you get from the data points the more "landmarks" you should leave to find your way back"
Check out her full retrospective on dataviz here: https://t.co/FC0x1HCnb4
My first @d3unconf badge! (It's a jellyfish lol) I had a great time at the unconf and got to know so many amazing vis folks! Thank you guys for organizing this event :D

I absolutely loved the open discussions at @d3unconf and it would be awesome if more conferences had an 'unconference' moment to truly allow the community to participate - @encode_info, maybe this is something for next year?
Just got back from an awesome @d3unconf! It was wonderful to hear about data visualization in so many different fields, and seeing friends in person. Not to mention the fantastic keynotes and workshops!
Thanks so much for all of the hard work @MollzMP@enjalot and many others!!
Thank you, @sxywu for the continued, shameless promotion of @d3unconf 😂 I wouldn't have found and gone without seeing it here. It was fun to learn and talk with others about data visualization that may be an afterthought. I'm ecstatic to be apart of this community
So good to be at #visfestunconf in Chicago. The day started with a very thoughtful keynote by @DataToViz, followed by a great workshop by @mbostock. Also great to connect with @d3unconf's community
It was really special to hear @defilippovale speak about her design process and projects this morning at #visfestunconf thanks @d3unconf for bringing her to the conference!
An incredible keynote about creative visual encodings for data by @defilippovale at @d3unconf. Loved seeing the process behind these beautiful and inspiring visualizations!
the final set of discussions have @AmyCesal leading a discussion on accessibility in data visualization, @sxywu facilitating scrollytelling and alternatives and @enjalot facilitating explorable explanations and data visualization in education #visfestunconf
