I am honoured to participate as a speaker at the programme commemorating the 2026 International Day Against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking, where I will be speaking on "Institutional Interventions and Strategic Community Advocacy."
This engagement provides an important platform to discuss how government institutions, civil society, and community stakeholders can work together to address the root causes of drug abuse through proactive policies, strategic partnerships, and sustainable interventions.
Our conversation will focus on:
-Strengthening institutional collaboration to drive -community-based advocacy.
Promoting prevention and rehabilitation as more sustainable responses.
-Creating opportunities for young people through education, mentorship, academic competitions, and drug-free school initiatives.
The fight against drug abuse is a shared responsibility. By empowering our youth with knowledge, purpose, and opportunities, we can build safer communities and secure a brighter future for Zamfara State and Nigeria.
I look forward to a productive and impactful engagement.

Building the Future of Zamfara’s Education: Insights from Frontier Schools, Missouri
Today, as part of our unwavering commitment to revitalizing Zamfara State's education sector, I undertook a comprehensive working visit to Frontier Schools in Kansas City, Missouri.
Our mission is clear: we are not just looking for incremental changes; we are actively seeking the tools to leapfrog our current learning models and build a robust, modern education system. To do this, we must completely overhaul our approach, from foundational ICT infrastructure to comprehensive education systems management.
My sessions today, May 9, provided a deep dive into the practical infrastructure and policies required to achieve this transformation:
STEM-A & Student Innovation: I started the morning touring the STEM facilities alongside school leadership and later witnessed hands-on brilliance from students at the Innovation Lab. This perfectly aligns with our drive to deeply embed Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics, and Agriculture (STEM-A) curricula in Zamfara, preparing our youth for the global economy.
ICT Infrastructure & Systems Management:I engaged in highly productive sessions regarding IT Services and State Submissions, as well as a strategic virtual meeting with Lean Solutions.
Building a resilient, data-driven ICT infrastructure is non-negotiable. It is the backbone needed to streamline our management systems connecting government, administrators, and stakeholderswhile we work to consolidate the legal frameworks that will guarantee long-term policy sustainability.
Holistic Student Welfare & Logistics: Quality assurance extends beyond the classroom. I closely reviewed their operational models for Health & Safety, nutritional Food Services, and efficient student Transportation logistics. Ensuring our students are safe, well-fed, and reliably transported is critical to keeping them in school and focused on learning.
Accountability & Governance: We wrapped up the operational deep-dives by analyzing their Accounting and Finance mechanisms.
Transparent and efficient resource management is exactly how we will ensure every policy translates to real-world value for our students and teachers.
We are returning with actionable blueprints to enhance everything from physical infrastructure and transportation to quality assurance and deeper parental engagement.
I have our media team editing the videos and pictures from today's extensive sessions—stay tuned, I will be dropping them shortly!

Honoured to stand alongside His Excellency, Governor Dauda Lawal, as he presented Zamfara’s Development Blueprint to the UN Deputy Secretary-General, Amina J. Mohammed.
I had the opportunity to brief the UN delegation on our efforts in strengthening child education, advancing the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), improving state performance, and driving our Economic Roadmap focused on inclusive growth and human capital development.
Zamfara is committed to working closely with the United Nations to build a stronger education system and a more prosperous future for our people. @daudalawal_@AminaJMohammed@UN@UNDPNigeria@UNICEF
Due to rise in transport fare occasioned by the war in the Middle Belt, perhaps it is high time Tinubu considered the plight of Nigerian workers by adopting the corona model of work from home as well as reducing work days to at least 4 or 3 for the time being.
What do you think?
Dear Apple,
Please make it easier to delete contacts. Having to go into each contact & select edit then scroll to the very bottom is actually very annoying & tedious.
Sincerely, Every iPhone User.
Today, I had the honour of accompanying His Excellency, Dauda Lawal, as he launched the distribution of farm inputs and assets to our hardworking dry season farmers under the FADAMA III programme at Samaru Gusau.
This initiative reflects our administration’s strong commitment to food security, rural empowerment, and sustainable agricultural development in Zamfara State.
Agriculture remains the backbone of our economy, and supporting our farmers with the right tools and inputs is a strategic investment in the future of our state.
I commend His Excellency for his visionary leadership and unwavering dedication to improving the livelihoods of our people.
Together, we will continue to build a stronger, more prosperous Zamfara.
