My name is Mary.
Computer Science student.
I’m at the intersection of
#DevOps ⚙️ #Cloud ☁️ #CyberSecurity 🔐
How systems are built, scaled, and defended end-to-end,
from infrastructure to attack surface, automation to protection.
Looking to connect with like-minded.
Day 24/30 @VAInitiatives
I learned about Cross-Site Request Forgery (CSRF), a vulnerability that tricks an authenticated user into performing an action they never intended. Installed Ubuntu Server, practiced Linux basics, explored whoami, pwd, ls, ls -l, ls -la, and cd.
Day 23/30 with @VAInitiatives
Explored Stored XSS, Command Injection, and File Upload vulnerabilities in DVWA. Learned how simple user inputs can lead to script execution, system commands, or even remote code execution when security controls fail. #CyberSecurity#WebSecurity
I recently received the challenges for my capstone project in a Cybersecurity course.
And while I'm not overwhelmed,
I could definitely use some guidance as a beginner.
If you're available, I would appreciate the opportunity to discuss this further with you.
Thank you!
😭💔 I dropped my daughter at school that morning and went to work, never knowing that very day was my last day of seeing my beautiful daughter.
A few hours later, I received the most painful news a mother could ever hear — band!ts had attacked the school and kidnapped everyone, including my little girl and her teachers. Since then, my daughter has been in the forest, and I don't know if she is safe or even alive. 😭
The pain is too much for me to bear😭. Every day I cry, pray, and hope for a miracle. God, please protect my child and bring her back home alive. 🙏💔
@_dawndev I am ready to tackle the challenges I'll face with my capstone project, manage my school responsibilities, and confidently 🤧🤧 submit two assignments that I will master in no time.
This Nigerian lady who teaches at a school in Japan broke down the Japanese style of learning that makes them very intelligent and productive.
I think this is smart learning. It will be helpful to Nigerian students, if it is adopted in our educational system.✍️
Day 22/30 with @VAInitiatives
Executed SQL Injection and XSS attacks in DVWA today.
Learned why client-side validation isn't security.
Burp Suite can modify requests before they reach the server.
Also explored Reflected XSS.
Bottom line: Never trust user input.
Day 21 with @VAInitiatives
Built my first hacking lab with DVWA + Burp Suite. Intercepted HTTP requests like traffic in motion.
DVWA is my “medical mannequin” for cyber practice.
Burp sits between browser & server, rewriting reality in real time.
I can finally see the web.
Day 20/30 with @VAInitiatives
SSRF (Server-Side Request Forgery) tricks a server into making requests on an attacker's behalf, potentially exposing internal resources and cloud services.
Sometimes because it's internal doesn't mean its safe.
Stay aware‼️
