"The desire for a #BellGreenNeighbourhoodForum grew out of the public consultation over previous work by @SydenhamSociety & @d__architecture on how Bell Green could look in the future"
Now @BGNF_Lewisham can be formally recognised

Good news for Sydenham residents now that @MayorofLondon and @TfL have signed a new operator for the Windrush Line, with more frequent trains increasing to 18 trains per hour through the core section

@WilliamSheehy1 The combined Bell Green Forum & @SydenhamSociety team demonstrated Barratt’s failure to submit a coherent proposal, but were unsuccessful. The meeting was shambolic, and it was approved without discussing conditions. It's a compelling webcast. #planning https://t.co/Znie0ONWKE
The Livesey Memorial Hall was built in tribute to George Livesey and the bricks were made in the gasworks that once surrounded the site. The Grade 2 listed building, perimeter wall and war memorial in the grounds are under threat from neglect. #se26#heritage#architecture
Lewisham is recommending approval on 24 Sep for Barratts to build these tower blocks in Bell Green up to 14 storeys high. Please contact Perry Hill councillors asking them to refuse permission: [email protected][email protected][email protected]
When asked what he thinks of the UK’s major housing developers, such as Persimmon, Taylor Wimpey and Barratt, Smales grins. “I can’t say good luck to them – their model needs to be outcompeted and displaced,” he says. “We aim to show that living sustainably can be a joy.”
The Bakerloo Line Upgrade and Extension would be transformative for Lewisham and London.
A new report out today shows how it could improve connectivity, drive growth and unlock housing.

Here is said retail park. Thousands of car park spaces, dragging in cars and pollution from miles around. This could be our new village for Bell Green. With shops, a leisure facility, parklets and a place for a Xmas tree. #planning#redevelopment#se26#bellgreenvillage
We would like to see the large retail park converted to a new village, with housing, facilities and shops. This requires a masterplan to guide the development so it has some sense and logic. What we don't need is a poorly planned development, circumventing the process. #bellgreen
